Dr. Kathleen Brite-Hillis, MD

Dr. Brite Hillis is originally from Michigan.  She completed her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at Arizona State University, medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson, and residency at University of Arizona Family Medicine program at Banner University-Phoenix where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Brite Hillis has dedicated her career to serving the underserved and is incredibly happy to practice at Wesley Health Center.  She enjoys broad spectrum primary care, including a vast array of musculoskeletal procedures, prenatal care, chronic disease management, and preventive care.  She performs full spectrum women’s health care as well, including colposcopies and LEEPS to prevent cervical cancer.

Dr. Brite Hillis also enjoys teaching at the bedside and has been involved in undergraduate medical education curriculum for over a decade.  She is the Associate Dean of Clinical and Competency Based Education at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.  She is dedicated to anti-racism transformation in medical education and works to address health disparities and inequities in medicine.  She is a strong advocate for inclusive excellence in all aspects of medicine to improve medical care for all.

As a proud mother of three active boys, Dr. Brite Hillis enjoys spending available free time with her family as the time flies along and they grow up too fast.  She enjoys an active lifestyle of hiking, biking, tennis, and just about anything outside.
